Registration for the 2026–2027 school year is now open.

How you register depends on whether the student is new to Edmonton Catholic Schools and whether your family already has an ECSD SchoolEngage account. Please review the options below to ensure you start in the right place.

Step 1: Find Your School

If you are looking for a school in your attendance area, please use our School Finder tool. You can also search for languages, academies, and other program offerings in this tool.

Once you have determined your school, please select New to ECSD or Existing ECSD Families to begin. Each section will provide you with detailed instructions. Current ECSD families do not need to create a new account if they already have a child enrolled in one of our schools.

Step 2: Choose the Option that Applies to You

1. Are You New to Edmonton Catholic Schools?

If your family is new to Edmonton Catholic Schools and you are registering your first child, you must create a SchoolEngage account to complete a New Student Application.

This includes:

  • Kindergarten/Pre-Kindergarten (100 Voices) students new to ECSD
  • Students transferring from another school division
  • Students who have never attended an ECSD school

Complete New Student Applications

We are pleased to guide you through our online registration process through the SchoolEngage platform, which ensures a secure and streamlined experience for enrolling your child.  

1. Create a new SchoolEngage account by visiting schoolengage.ecsd.net.   

2. Click the Create New Account button and complete the information required and then select register. You will receive an email verification of your new account. Please remember to check your spam or junk folders. 

3. Once verified, you can sign in to your account.  

4. Once you are logged in to SchoolEngage, proceed with the steps below. 

Once you are logged into SchoolEngage, complete the following steps 

5. Add your student to your SchoolEngage account. You will find the link on the left-hand side. Start there to enter your student’s first and last name and their date of birth and click save. This will add your student to your list of students in SchoolEngage.  

6. Select your student (the one who, needs the application) from the student list on the left-hand menu. Once you have a student selected, you will see on the right-hand side of the screen the list of available applications.  

7. Select the proper form from the list of new student applications. You will need to choose the form based on when your student is starting school. Select either the current year or the upcoming year. 

8. Once the form is open, read the instructions and continue through the form, making sure to answer all required fields. If a field is not completed, it will be marked red. 

9. After you have completed and signed the form, click submit. It will not let you submit if there is missing information. 

10. You will receive a confirmation message and email once the form is completed. To register additional children, start again at step 1 for each student. You do not need to complete a school engage account for each child, just one per family. 


2. Are You an Existing ECSD Family Registering a New Student?

If you already have a child attending an ECSD school and are now registering another child who does not currently attend ECSD, use your existing SchoolEngage account.

Do not create a new account.

This applies if you are registering:

  • A Kindergarten student
  • A student transferring from another school division

Use your current PowerSchool account to access the SchoolEngage app

Visit powerschool.ecsd.net  

1. Log onto the PowerSchool using your existing account, and then click on the School Engage Icon in the left-hand menu.  

2. Once logged in to SchoolEngage, proceed with the steps below.

3. Do You Have a Current ECSD Student Returning Next Year?

If the student already attends an Edmonton Catholic Schools school and will return to our Division next year, do not register on this page.

Please visit our pre‑enrolment page and complete the steps. Pre-enrolment is required for all current ECSD students, whether they are staying at their current school or moving to a different school for the 2026–2027 school year.

The pre-enrolment process for existing ECSD students closed on Friday, March 13, 2026. Please contact your child's current school to make any changes.


Are You New to Canada?

If you are new to Canada, you must register through One World…One Centre. The centre provides services to help students and families newly arrived in Canada.

Alternative Education

Student Services provides alternative educational opportunities and programs to high school students within the Edmonton Catholic Schools’ community.



International Students Program

Edmonton Catholic School Division welcomes students from all over the world to study in our schools. We offer an outstanding education for all students with a strong commitment to individual achievement and success.

Through the International Student Program, students may apply to study with us as international, fee-paying students.

Our Programs

Kindergarten

Divine Mercy is pleased to offer Half-Day Kindergarten programming in our school.  These programs are rich in oral language, literacy, exploration and discovery.

2025-2026 Registration

Online registrations will open on our ECSD division general website for the 2025-2026 school year beginning February 3, 2025.

  1. To register your child(ren) you will need the following documentation that you will need to be upload on the online registration system
    1. Birth Certificate
    2. Citizenship/Residency documents (if necessary)
    3. Baptismal Certificate
    4. Most current Court Orders/Custody/Delegation of Authority (if necessary)
    5. Any other documentation that is specific to your situation (Change of Name Certificate, Work Permit, Study Permit, Treaty Status/Card, etc)
  2. Once you complete the online registration and have uploaded the necessary documents, our school office will contact you to set up a time to drop by the school to complete the registration process. For this meeting you will need to bring the original documents that you uploaded (from list above), we will scan your originals and verify your information. You will also need to provide proof of address, this can include a current utility bill or your driver's licence.
  3. Our Principal, Mrs. Cooper will then review your finalized registration prior to acceptance. Once this review is complete, you will receive a phone call from either the Mrs. Pugh our Administrative Assistant or Mrs. Cooper to confirm acceptance for the next school year. 
  4. To register your child you can either click on the "register now" link at the top of this page or click on the link below, these links will take you to our general division website registration page, please follow the steps as indicated on the website.
